Our Friendship

Pat's birthday is coming (1st Jan), so we met up for a meal to celebrate.  We have been doing this for the past 12 years (wow!), that no matter how busy we are, we always make it a point to meet and catch up during our birthday months, and the birthday girl gets a treat from the other two.  Pat and Candice are my jc school mates, and we have known one another since 1999.  That's almost 14 years already.  Though we seldom meet up nowadays but we chat like old friends whenever we do.  Such friendship is hard to come by, and I definitely cherish it.

At Lawry's

This year is a bit different from previous years' celebrations. Candice was 8 months pregnant, and this was the first time I brought Evan out to meet up with my two "old" friends.  So it was five people instead of the usual three, haha. As usual Evan cried at seeing new faces, though I had mentally prepared him by telling him many times about the lunch.  Luckily it did not take him too long to settle down, but he kept so quiet throughout the lunch that I was constantly worried if he was going to start another bout of crying, so I had to keep talking to him to keep him entertained.  Hopefully he will improve on his socialising skills as he grows up. 

Food

Pat and Candice ordered the same "Singapore Cut" while I had seafood pasta.  Evan ate sausage and fries, plus a bit of Haagen Dazs ice-cream.  The food was great but guess I was pretty distracted by Evan, I didn't manage to finish my food before it turned cold.

It's just two more days before 2013.  I don't have a habit of making new resolutions cuz I never follow them.   Haha.  Anyway happy new year and have a fabulous year ahead.
